Annual Presentation Night - Saturday 30th May

This years presentation night was held at Lucien's Bar on the 30th May. With the FA Cup Final kicking off at 5.30pm a good number of players went down to soak up the atmosphere. A food buffet consisting of pizzas, garlic breads, nachos and chips washed down with plenty of beer made for a party atmosphere. The awards presentation began at 8pm and the following recipients were given their awards:

  • 1ST TEAM Players' Player ED GRIFFITHS

CHARLIE GRAZIER's amazing first season was rewarded with YOUNG PLAYER and MOST IMPROVED PLAYER awards. Having started in the 4ths making his way through the 3rds to the Reserves, Charlie has impressed at every stage and is surely one to watch for the future.

JAMES SMITH continued his remarkable scoring spree having netted 87 goals in his first 4 seasons, his 37 goals for the 3rds is one of the highest totals in the club's history, giving him LEADING GOAL SCORER for the club and 3rd place in the Golden Boot for the County League.

ED GRIFFITHS topped off a memorable evening with the SPORTSMAN award.  A popular choice given his fantastic attitude and the work he does for bothHornsea Town and the juniors of Hornsea Sporting.

The final award was the CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR and this went to Physio GRAHAM JANES. Calm, assured and often a lone voice of reason in a turbulent season, Graham is respected by all players from all teams and was instrumental in a number of club bonding events, most notably the Amsterdam trip (where the lads came a penalty shoot our away from winning the tournament).
